At Carroll Daniel, we believe in building more than just structures; we’re building leaders.
Through our Build Your Future initiative, our internship program offers a hands-on, immersive experience for college sophomores through seniors pursuing degrees in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or other design-build related fields. More than just a summer job, it’s a launchpad for a lasting career in construction.
Real Experience, Real Growth
From day one, interns are fully integrated into our teams and exposed to the full life cycle of a project, from preconstruction, engineering, and design to project management and field operations. Interns gain experience in both the office and the jobsite, allowing them to see how each role works together to bring a project to life.
Through the Carroll Daniel Training Academy, interns participate in technical and professional development courses, vendor lunch and learns, and meaningful mentorship.
With offices in Gainesville, Atlanta, and Savannah, Georgia; Greenville, South Carolina; Nashville, Tennessee; and Mobile, Alabama, and active projects across the Southeast, our interns are never short on opportunities to learn and grow.
A Competitive Edge
Interning with Carroll Daniel doesn’t just look good on a resume; it opens doors. Many of our interns return as full-time team members, following a career track that sets them up for long-term success.
The construction internship follows a two-part structure designed to provide a full view of the project lifecycle. Interns spend the first half of the summer in the field gaining hands-on experience on active jobsites, then transition to the office for the second half to learn how planning, coordination, and execution come together.
The engineering internship places students alongside their mentor and project team for the entire summer, allowing them to contribute to real projects from start to finish. Engineering interns also participate in jobsite visits and safety ride-alongs, ensuring both engineering and construction interns gain exposure to each other’s roles and a deeper understanding of how teams collaborate in the field and beyond.
Perks With a Purpose
Our internship program offers more than meaningful work. Interns receive valuable support and opportunities designed to help them succeed both professionally and personally, including:
- Competitive pay
- Paid housing
- A dedicated mentor
- Structured office training and jobsite rotations
- Lunch & learns + professional development sessions
- Social events and networking opportunities
To further support that growth, interns also have regular opportunities to network with company executives through intentional events and conversations, giving them insight into leadership paths and long-term career opportunities.

Building Your Future, Together
Here at Carroll Daniel, we don’t just train our interns; we mentor, empower, and challenge them to become the next generation of builders, engineers, and leaders.
