CANTON, GA. – On Tuesday, April 28, Carroll Daniel proudly joined Cherokee County School District for a ribbon cutting and open house for the new Cherokee High School campus in Canton, Georgia.

The event marked the culmination of years of planning, collaboration, and construction on a state-of-the-art facility designed to serve the next generation of students. Community leaders, school officials, project partners, and local families gathered to officially open the doors to a campus that reflects both Cherokee County’s rich history and its forward-looking vision for education.

Originally established in 1956, Cherokee High School has long been a cornerstone of the community. The new campus represents a significant investment in its future—bringing modern learning environments, expanded capacity, and innovative spaces that support both academic and career-focused programs.

The project is one of the largest school construction efforts in the district’s history, totaling approximately 473,000 square feet and designed to accommodate more than 3,000 students. Classrooms, labs, and collaborative areas were thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of the county’s growth, ensuring students have access to cutting-edge resources from day one.

The ribbon cutting ceremony itself was a celebration of partnership. Representatives from the Cherokee County School District, project architects, and construction teams joined students and staff to commemorate the achievement. Following the ceremony, the community was invited to tour the facility, giving attendees a firsthand look at the innovative design and features that will shape the student experience for years to come.

More than just a new building, the new Cherokee High School stands as a symbol of growth, investment, and commitment to excellence in education. Carroll Daniel’s role in bringing this vision to life highlights the power of collaboration in building spaces that truly serve their communities.
