Driving Innovation: A New Lab for Tomorrow’s Technicians

Carroll Daniel was selected to construct an over 7,000-square-foot addition to house an Automotive and Technology Lab at Empower College and Career Academy for Jackson County Schools. The space was designed to enhance hands-on learning and modernize educational infrastructure for students pursuing career and technical pathways.

Shifting Gears in Technical Education

Construction of the large automotive center began in January 2025, with the ribbon cutting ceremony taking place in July 2025. The addition includes a three-bay automotive maintenance lab, storage rooms, two lecture spaces, a conference room, office space, restroom facilities, and supporting utility services. Through partnerships with industry vendors, the maintenance lab is equipped with cutting edge technology and tools, providing students with access to the materials and processes used in the automotive field today.

Carroll Daniel partnered with Jackson County School System to build a three-school campus for Jackson County High School, Legacy Knoll Middle School, and Heroes Elementary School.

Cobb Innovation & Technology Academy

The Cobb Innovation & Technology Academy (CITA) is a first of its kind facility for Cobb County School District. The 67,648-square-foot, one-story steel-framed CMU in-filled addition was constructed on an occupied high school site that was also undergoing a major phased re-build.

Seckinger High School

Seckinger High School is a new four-story, 510,000-square-foot next-generation learning environment that includes a mechatronics lab, advanced learning spaces, a stadium and a field house.

Osborne High School

The Osborne High School Rebuild project included the phased demolition and replacement of approximately half of the existing buildings on campus, as well as renovations to the interiors of the remaining buildings on campus.

Gainesville High School Expansion and Renovations

Carroll Daniel has partnered with Gainesville High School on a multi-phase expansion and renovation of the school’s campus.

Discovery High School

The award-winning Discovery High School project consisted of taking an old Bridgestone tire warehouse and significantly altering it into a new high school for Gwinnett County Schools.
