At Carroll Daniel, safety is a value that guides every decision, every project, and every team member. During this year’s Construction Safety Week, our teams across all office locations and jobsites came together to reinforce that commitment through daily themes focused on awareness, planning, accountability, and engagement.
We kicked off the week with a focus on recognizing hazards, particularly high energy risks that have the potential to result in serious injuries. Through increased awareness, clear communication, and early risk identification, our teams took proactive steps to better protect one another and strengthen our culture of care.

On Day Two, the emphasis shifted to planning. Teams took time to evaluate risks, prepare for upcoming work, and ensure the right controls were in place before tasks began. Strong planning remains one of the most effective ways to prevent incidents because the safest job is the one where hazards are addressed before work ever starts.

Midweek, we focused on ownership, reinforcing that safety is a shared responsibility. When every individual on site is engaged and accountable not only for their own safety but also for those around them, we build stronger, safer jobsites.

Day Four highlighted the importance of engagement and communication. Through site-wide safety meetings and demonstrations, teams were encouraged to ask questions, speak up, and ensure every voice was heard. Providing a space for open dialogue helps identify risks earlier and fosters a collaborative approach to safety.

As we closed out the week, we reemphasized our commitment to safety. While Construction Safety Week provides an opportunity to refocus and reinforce best practices, our dedication to safety extends far beyond these five days. It is a daily responsibility and a standard we continue to uphold across every project.
