The prices of most construction materials have leveled off at high levels. The price of labor continues to rise. There is optimism that, if the interest rate environment improves later this year, it will drive new nonresidential construction starts.
Material Input Costs | Ready-Mix Concrete
Concrete prices ticked down but remained historically elevated in the first quarter of 2024. The average price in Northeast Georgia for standard, 3,000 psi ready-mix concrete was $172.99 per cubic yard. While this is about a dollar less expensive than last quarter, it is 5% higher than a year ago, 23% higher than two years ago, and 47% higher than three years ago.
