Renovations to MARTA’s Vine City Station
MARTA, the principal public transportation operator in Atlanta, Georgia, partnered with Carroll Daniel | Moody to complete renovations at Vine City Station. As part of MARTA’s ongoing station enhancement program, the project focused on improving the patron experience, revitalizing existing infrastructure, and enhancing the overall appearance of the facility.

Station Restoration & Surface Renewal
Restoration and renewal efforts refreshed key areas throughout the station, including surface improvements, upgrades to platform and stairwell lighting, and targeted fixture replacements at the concourse skylight and exterior canopies to enhance the overall passenger experience.
Interior Enhancements
Interior improvements included repairs to doors and frames, along with new acoustical ceilings in stairwell and escalator areas, creating a brighter and more welcoming environment for passengers.
Plaza & Site Improvements
A new concrete plaza was constructed to improve pedestrian connectivity and create a more cohesive arrival experience. The work integrated seamlessly with existing sidewalks and landscaping, enhancing circulation throughout the station.
Delivering in an Operational Transit Environment
With Vine City Station remaining fully operational throughout construction, work was carefully phased to maintain safe passenger access and support uninterrupted transit operations. Close coordination with MARTA, detailed planning, and flexible scheduling allowed improvements to be completed while minimizing disruption to daily station activities.
