Partnering with PepsiCo

The 172,720 SF Commerce Crossroads facility will distribute PepsiCo beverage products, increasing the capacity to deliver additional PepsiCo beverages to cities surrounding Commerce, Georgia. The early partnership between PepsiCo, the Developer, and the Project Team allowed Carroll Daniel to better accommodate PepsiCo’s building and operational needs. The new Commerce Crossroads manufacturing and distribution facility will create 50 jobs for the area, from production specialists to CDL-A drivers.

Building Solutions Despite Sitework Delays

Sitework at Commerce Crossroads included 40’ deep excavations, which revealed seven underground streams in various places across the 28-acre site. The streams created schedule delays for sitework, as the project team was continually working to control the water in order to dry large areas of the site. To mitigate this, stream heads were individually located, and the water was piped into the storm drainage system – an effective and efficient solution that still allowed us to deliver the project on-time.
