As part of Carroll Daniel’s commitment to helping establish the next generation of construction industry workforce, our team celebrated the third class of apprentices to complete our apprenticeship program on Wednesday afternoon, May 10.

Joined by our team, family, friends and partners in education, the apprentices were honored in a graduation ceremony, lauding their accomplishments in the classroom and their hands-on work in the field with Carroll Daniel. The apprentices completed coursework and field work required for the Carroll Daniel superintendent career path. The five latest graduates of the program are all students at Lanier Technical College, representing several different North Georgia high schools.

“After being a part of this program, I am well-equipped to work and succeed in this industry,” class of 2023 apprentice Marlon Zavala said about his thoughts on the two-year program. “The mentorship and on-the-job experience I’ve received through this apprenticeship has me better prepared than my peers who have not had this type of opportunity.”

Carroll Daniel has extended full-time job offers for the position of field engineer to each of the five apprentices.

“These field leaders on this superintendent career track are special individuals,” Carroll Daniel President & CEO Brian Daniel said. “They have to have a great breadth of knowledge, but also have qualities like integrity, work ethic, drive and the ability to build relationships.”

Our apprenticeship program is designed to help boost the construction industry as a whole. It is part of our comprehensive workforce development program that also includes work-based learning for high school students interested in construction careers and internships for college students pursuing degrees related to the industry, such as engineering, construction management, business and others.
