We immerse you in every aspect of the preconstruction, design, and construction processes at Carroll Daniel. With internship opportunities in Greenville, SC and Mobile, AL—and projects located across the United States—there’s no limit to where an internship with Carroll Daniel can take you.

What to Expect

Carroll Daniel Engineering works alongside the Carroll Daniel Construction team, providing the unique experience of collaboration with preconstruction and operations teams – a valuable component that puts you a step ahead of the competition.

We also have in-house full design and engineering departments including: Architecture, VDC/BIM, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Mechanical Engineering, Process Chemical Engineering, Plumbing Engineering, Piping Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, Electrical, Automation, Process Controls, and Site Selection.

Through our Carroll Daniel Training Academy, we provide interns with multiple technical and behavioral training courses, vendor lunch-and-learns, and mentorship through partner organizations like Design-Build Institute of America, AutoDesk University, Associated General Contractors of America and several others.

We also offer direct mentorship from a Registered Architect or Professional Engineer to meet the requirements for licensure credit hours including IDP through NCARB for Architectural staff and EIT for Engineering staff. In addition, we offer training in complete project duration workflows ranging from project proposals and schematic design, to design development, permitting and construction administration.

What are the dates of the Internship Program?

Every summer, beginning the 2nd week of May and ending the 2nd week of August.

What makes Carroll Daniel’s Engineering Internship Program unique?

Our Engineering Internship Program is designed to offer each intern the maximum amount of exposure to the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry during your summer with us. To accomplish this, we offer direct mentorship from a Registered Architect or Professional Engineer to meet the requirements for licensure credit hours as well as mentorship through partner organizations like Design-Build Institute of America, AutoDesk University, Associated General Contractors of America and several others.

We also value work-life balance and have a company culture that is carefully cultivated to live out our values and build connectivity amongst team members. In addition to direct interaction with executives, we involve our interns in several company social events from white water rafting to rooftop yoga and more. Our program also provides housing for interns and offers unique perks and learning opportunities like Safety Ride-Along Day, Jobsite Tours, and #BuildingforBetter Day, a day dedicated to building a better community through volunteering with philanthropic organizations.
