JEFFERSON, GA. – On Monday, July 28, 2025, Carroll Daniel joined Jackson County Schools for a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of transformative work at the Jackson Empower College and Career Center. This milestone marks the opening of the school’s new Automotive Lab—a space designed to enhance hands-on learning and modernize educational infrastructure for students pursuing career and technical pathways.
Construction began in January 2025, and the project featured the addition of a New Automotive Lab and other renovations to the Empower Career Center. A 7,306-square-foot addition was constructed to house the large automotive center where students can gain real-world trade skills. The new facility also includes two lecture classrooms and a fully outfitted lab equipped through partnerships with industry vendors, providing students with access to the tools and technologies used in the automotive field today.
In addition to the automotive lab, approximately 220,000 square feet of the existing building underwent a comprehensive renovation. Upgrades included new HVAC systems, fire alarms, lighting, flooring, painting, and ceilings—improving comfort, efficiency, and the overall learning environment. The renovated space now supports 61 instructional units and serves a full-time enrollment of 1,150 students.
Carroll Daniel was proud to partner with Jackson County Schools on this investment in the future Jackson County workforce to help prepare students for success in both college and career.
