Building with Digital Tools
Coordinating materials and schedules with project management software.
To ensure that we were able to keep the project moving as quickly as possible, the Carroll Daniel team worked on expediting submittals with long lead times such as steel and door frames to arrive on site before they were needed. To do this, the team used CMiC, Bluebeam, and Fieldwire Software. The Project Manager, office, and field staff used these digital tools to track and distribute all submittals, RFIs, supplemental instructions, and requests for proposal. This allowed for a quick turnaround as well as tracking to make sure the parties received the information. This also allowed our team to put a deadline turnaround for all these items to ensure that nothing fell behind.

Community Outreach
Engaging and inspiring the local community.
With a 1,050 SF greenhouse, 2,465 SF of Agriculture Science space, numerous Science Labs, and several foreign language classrooms, the school will offer a wide range of educational experiences. Carroll Daniel helped the owner coordinate with various community groups to schedule opportunities to view the facilities. Knowing that Hilsman would be a very large part of the community and would be used for many non-school related activities, it was important for us to dedicate the time needed to help facilitate these extracurricular programs. Carroll Daniel allowed the future students and staff to tour the school in several different stages of the project to educate them on the building process in hopes of encouraging interest in the construction industry and trades.
