Carroll Daniel Wins 2010 Build Georgia AwardCarroll Daniel Construction Company was was awarded a 2010 Build Georgia Award for Chesney Elementary School, a Gwinnett County facility that was completed almost a year ahead of schedule. Winners for this year's Awards were announced at the Georgia Branch Associated General Contractors Annual Convention on June 8, 2010 in Hilton Head, SC. Consisting of three phases of construction — a two-story, 40,000sf classroom and media center, 5,000sf of interior renovation to the existing media center and a metal building addition to the gymnasium — the $3.97 million construction of Chesney Elementary School was completed one year ahead of schedule. Carroll Daniel Construction Co. developed a plan to schedule all three phases of the project to be constructed concurrently. The Build Georgia Awards began in 1989 when the Georgia Branch, AGC recognized General Contractor members and their construction teams for outstanding performances on some of Georgia's most remarkable projects. In the 21 years since, the award has grown to become Georgia's highest honor for construction. |
